The Albuquerque Artwalk serves as the heartbeat of New Mexico’s creative scene. By uniting artists and facilitating collaborations, our platform transforms the ABQ Arts & Cultural District into a block-by-block arts experience, bringing creativity directly to the community.
Through our monthly downtown event, we aim to support both local artists and businesses. Every ABQ Artwalk is an opportunity to celebrate New Mexico’s creative culture and provide space for businesses and creatives to engage with the local community and visitors of New Mexico.

Every Month we feature an artist from ABQ Artwalk. This month our spotlight is on local artist: Kyle Velez.
Known for his surrealist works, Velez is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, his art serves as a conduit for the complexities of vanity and the way the body is viewed from the knowing outsider. His work reflects the sensitivity and struggle of the varying phases of mental health, inner conflict and emotion. This month, you can see his art on the cover of our Artwalk events map and online.
